| ALBERT
J. McMANUS TITUSVILLE Albert J. McManus, 74, died after a lengthy illness on
Friday, December 30, 2005 at home. He was born in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania on June 18, 1931 and has been a resident of Titusville for 40 years. Al was a graduate of Bloomsberg College and also attended Rutgers University and Renssa laer Polytec in New York. He was a high school math and science teacher in New Jersey and an educational instructor and lecturer for the Atomic Energy Commission in Oakridge, TN. He was a script writer for Red stone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Al was a supervisor at Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center for 37 years as a script writer, and in film and video production for Technicolor. He was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Ministry to the Sick, and an instructor of religious classes. He was a member of 4th degree Flori da Knights of Columbus, a past Grand Knight, former District Deputy, State News Editor, and former State Secretary. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dorsel; children, Albert of Titusville, Alice Fernandes of Beltsville, MD and Kevin of Roswell, GA; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers, Bob Cannon of NY, Frank Gallagher of PA and Joe Pat McManus of NJ; sisters, Joan Mannion of MD, Mary Ellen Haggerty of PA and Eileen Baldwin of NJ.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 4th from 6 - 8 p.m. at North
Brevard Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 5th at
11 a.m. at St. Teresa Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made
to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of St. Francis. North Brevard Funeral
Home is in charge of arrangements. ![]() | |
