Clark Jack Horner, 86, passed away at his home in Ti tusville on Tuesday, April 3, 2007. Originally of Wilmington, DE, he married June Hazelip of Baltimore in April 1944 and embarked on a 24 year career in the US Air Force.

He served as radio operator on B-25 aircraft in Trinidad during World War II. In the Air Force, Jack was involved in the Matador, BOMARC and Thor missile programs.

Jack retired in 1968 as a Chief Warrant Officer W-4 and moved to the Space Coast to join the space program team. He worked at the Cape for 17 years on the Apollo and Space Shuttle programs.

As a young man, Jacks avocation was as a lifeguard with the Ocean City Beach Patrol in Ocean City, Maryland. In 2003 he attended an OCBP reunion to renew friend ships in this distinguished organization serving Marylands premier summer resort city since 1930.

Jack is survived by his wife of 63 years, June; three children, Candice Watkins, Michael Horner, and COL Stephen Horner (US Army Retired); three grand children, John and Chris Watkins and Matthew Horner, and three great-grandchildren, Bran don, Grace and Jack Watkins.
