Donald I. Garceau, 70, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at his home. He was born in Waterbury, CT to John and Marion Garceau who both preceded him in death.

Mr. Garceau moved to Florida in 1959 from his birthplace and was employed by Indyne Inc. at Kennedy Space Center where he earned a Silver Snoopy Award for Excellence of Service during Shuttle Flight Operations.

Don was a city councilman for twelve years for the city of West Melbourne where he served terms as a member of the Planning and Zoning Board.

Some of Dons interests included square dancing and his love for his job.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Beverly Burke Garceau; sons, Don Jr. and Glenn Garceau; brothers, John and Bruce Garceau; and three grandchildren, Brandi, Crystal, and Christina Garceau. Don was a great husband, father, and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., with a funeral service following at 4:30. A reception will follow at the funeral home. Brevard Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
