JOHN LANE GAINESVILLE John Robeson Lane, 93, died at his home in Gainesville, Florida on Tuesday, February 20,2007. He moved to Florida in 1959 and worked on inertial guidance at Cape Canaveral.

He was an Associate Professor of Management and Quality Control at Brevard Community College in Cocoa from 1963 to 1982.

John is survived by, his wife of 39 years, Jean Rogers Lane, and a son, Paul William Lane, both of Gainesville; two grand daughters, Lanette Margaret Lane of Zurich, Switzerland and Sherry Cawthon Lane Varona; and two great-grandchildren, Zachary Barnete Meeks and Laina Nicole Varona, all of Cocoa. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Helen McGuire Lane Stanley and by a son, Lawrence John Lane. In accordance with his wishes, Johns body was donated to a medical school.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 9, 2007 at 10:30 a.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Friendship Fellow ship at Pindea, 3115 Friendship Place, Rockledge, FL 32955. Archie Tanner Funeral Home in Starke, FL is in charge of arrangements.
