ROBERT W. SHORT NEW ORLEANS, LA Robert W. Bob Short, 63, died Thursday, April 19, 2007 in New Orleans, LA. Born at Ft. Benning, GA, he moved to Brevard County in 1949 as a military dependent. Bob graduated from Satellite High School in 1963, attended Brevard Junior College, and worked at Kennedy Space Center in security in the late 60s. He relocated to New Orleans in the 70s, and became an independent contractor working on oil platforms. He served in the United States Army Reserve for more than 35 years. He is survived by his brother, John, of Melbourne, sons, Darin and Douglas; daughter Kristy, and eight grandchildren. Services and interment will be at Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary, Louisiana, on May 1, 2007 at 1 p.m.
