Robert G. (Bob) Ward, Jr., 73, husband, father, and retired engineer, died Sunday, May 13, 2007. Mr. Ward was born in Chattanooga , TN.
He was employed by General Dynamics for eight years on the Atlas ICBM program before moving to Fla., where he worked for NASA for 29 years before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret G. (Peggy) Ward and is survived by their four sons: Charles Raymond Ward, Longwood, FL, Glen Eric Ward (Marquis), Winchester, TN, Robert Alan Ward (Wen), Rockledge, and David Edward Ward (Mary), Cocoa; eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 19th at Rockledge Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Chil drens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis , TN 38105. East Coast Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
