MAYNARD HUGHES, COCOA

Maynard S. Hughes of Cocoa, FL passed away Saturday, October 18, 2008. Maynard and his family moved to Cocoa in 1957 from Tennessee.

He worked for and retired after 27 years with Pan American as a supervisor on several launch pads on Cape Canaveral.

He enjoyed life, loved his family and many friends. He really loved to spend the day on the golf course.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorotha (Dot) Hughes of Cocoa; son, Ronald (Ronnie) Hughes of Christmas; daughter, Sandra (Sandie) Hughes of Cocoa Beach; daughter, Nita Lowrance of Cocoa Beach; daughter-in-law, Dixie Hughes of Christmas; brother, Willard Hughes of Maryville, TN; broth ers-in-law, Richard (Dickie) Headrick of Maryville, TN and Ray Myers of Maryville, TN; sisters-in-law, Melba Hughes of Alcoa, TN and Margaret Myers of Maryville, TN; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews of Maryville, TN and Alcoa, TN, and all the wonderful and loving friends he had made here in central Florida. He was a Member of the Masons.

Calling Hours will be held Wednesday, October 22nd, from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by services at 2 p.m., at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home in Cocoa.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice.
