FREDERIC MATTHEWS, MERRITT ISLAND

Frederic G. Matthews, 86, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008, at Cape Canaveral Hospital. He was born in Hingham, MA and came to Brevard County in 1968 from California.

He was a retired Radio Operator for Pan Am., where he worked at Kennedy Space Center for 23 years and was a member of Clipper Pioneer.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Olony ; son, Grant (Mary Ellen) Matthews; daughters, Pam (Rex) Vaughn and Gloria (Jim) Draus; brother, Harry Matthews; and six grand children.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 19th, at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home in Cocoa.
