G. A. ANDY McCANN, COCOA

Andy McCann, 76, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2008. Andy was a proud "Florida Cracker", born in Micanopy, Florida.

He was a master carpenter by trade, with his career spent primarily at Kennedy Space Center.

In addition to a love of travel, he also enjoyed many hours in his wordworking hobby shop, time spent reading his Bible, and, most of all, being with his family. He was a dedicated, faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Cocoa. During the time of his 53 year membership there, he was Chairman of the Trustees, served on the Asbury Arms Board, and was a strong supporter of the Drive-In Services. In addition, he took great pride in using his carpenter skills to assist the church whenever possible.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy; daughter, Lyn, son and daughter-in-law, Don and Nancy; grandchildren, Rachel, Alex, and Benjamin; brother, Fred, sisters Eunice Smith, Sarah Knight, Jeannette Carwile; and many nieces and nephews. A

Memorial Service will be held Thursday, August 7th, at 11 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church of Cocoa with a reception to follow in Hughlett Hall. In lieu of flowers, his family has suggested contributions to The American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
