CARL F. MOCK, COCOA

Carl F. Mock, age 83, of Cocoa, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at home.

He was born in Monroe, LA and raised with his six siblings in Miami. He was a World War II Navy veteran who served in Europe. He was an avid fisherman and collector.

Carl moved to Merritt Island in 1965 to work at Kennedy Space Center. In retirement, he lived in Hobe Sound, FL and Lenoir, NC before moving to Cocoa.

He is survived by his children, Carl (Lesa), Guy, Johnny (Susan), Wendy and Carla; his siblings, Edward, Gordon and Margie; 11 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son, Jaime. Carl lived at Asbury Arms apartments in Cocoa, where he greeted his many friends each morning from his customary spot at the front entrance. Beloved father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend, he will be greatly missed.

Private funeral service will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
