JOHN MORRISON CAPE CANAVERAL Long time Florida resident John MacDonald Morrison passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2008, at his home in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Born in Southampton, NY in 1919, he lived in Glen Cove, NY after his birth until he moved to Merritt Island, FL in 1966 to work on the Apollo programs Lunar Excursion Module (L.E.M.). He retired from Grumman Aerospace after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of NY, a founding member of the Grumman Retiree Club and Cape Shores Condominium Association and a member of the Grumman Gremlins of the Valiant Air Command. John was a loving father and friend and will be forever missed by many. John is survived by his daughter, Jeri Yarbrough of Dallas, TX; two granddaughters, Jeryl Ann Aspelund and Stephanie Rush of Alaska; six great grandchildren and loving companion Shirley Kuttesch. He was predeceased by his wife, Violet Morrison and son, David Morrison.
