CLARK PINDER, COCOA Clark Steadman Pinder, 69, a retired Air Force Meteorologist, died at home with his family on Thursday, May 15, 2008, in Cocoa. Colonel Pinder served with the 5th Weather Wing United States Air Force and the 45th Weather Wing at Patrick Air Force Base, until his retirement in 2004. A native Floridian, Clark was born January 11, 1939 in Key West and he attended Florida State University. He moved to Brevard County in 1989. Prior to his retirement, Clark made the weather-related "go, no-go" decisions for shuttle missions and other space launches. His greatest joy, though, was his faith in the Lord and the strong faith of his wife and his children. He is survived by his wife, Gail Stromire Pinder; his son, Chris Pinder (Beth) of Poquoson, VA; his daughter, Melissa Lamp (Garrett); his son, Scott Bohannon (Lee Anne) of Alexandria, VA; his brother Joey Pinder of Key West; and eight grand children. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Links of Hope, 1535 North Cogswell St., Suite C20, Rockledge, FL, 32955. A celebration of Clarks life will be held at the chapel at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home in Rockledge on Monday, May 19, 2008 at 6 p.m. Clark is quietly resting in his Lord Jesus arms as he was a loving child of God that sought his Will for his life. We all love him dearly and will miss him until we are reunited. |
