JOHN SCOTT, MERRITT ISLAND

Mr. John C. Scott, age 58, of Merritt Island, FL, died on Tuesday, January 8, 2008. Born in Wilmington, DE on May 15, 1949, Mr. Scott was a graduate of Christiana High School in Delaware and attended the University of Delaware before enlisting in the US Navy.

During his six year military career, he served his country in Vietnam stationed in the Gulf of Tonkin. Mr. Scott had been fascinated by electronics from his youth. A gifted computer technician by profession, he worked on NASA's Space Shuttle Program at Kennedy Space Center in Florida for 33 years.

He enthusiastically worked with all kinds of audio and stereo equipment. He also enjoyed planning home improvement projects and was a dedicated pet lover.

A truly independent person, Mr. Scott will be fondly remembered by family and friends for his quiet and self- sufficient ways.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford D. Scott. He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Oliver Scott of Newark, DE; and two brothers, Ronald O. Scott and his wife, Marie, and Gary W.
