CURTIS SINGLETON, Jr., TITUSVILLE Curtis L. Singleton, Jr., 66, died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Parrish Medical Center. Curtis was born in Piedmont, Alabama, and came to Brevard County in 1966. He worked for Bendix at Kennedy Space Center for seven years. He retired from Florida Power and Light as a mechanic after 25 years of service. Curtis was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Parrish Medical Center Auxiliary, and Indian River Masonic Lodge #90. He was active with Temple Baptist Church Prime Timers, where he drove the shuttle every Tuesday morning. He also loved working with wood. Curtis is survived by his wife Media; sons, Curtis Scott Sing leton (Christine) of Titusville and Steve Ray Singleton (Traci) of Port St. John; grandchildren, Joshua, Evan, Becky and Garrett; and his mother, Verena Singleton of Piedmont, AL. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Howard Singleton, Mac Singleton, Betty Wallace, and Koneta Jones all of Piedmont, AL. A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 30th, from 6 to 8 p.m., at North Brevard Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Temple Baptist Church.
