MARTHA TOWERS, MERRITT ISLAND Martha Genevieve (Ginny) Pruett Towers, 65, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Octo ber 16, 2008, after a battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, James F. and Leslie Mae Lowery Pruett. Ginny was a Southern Lady, a native of Georgia, but had resided in Brevard County for over 45 years. She worked as a secretary for the F.B.I. in Washington, DC, during the time of the Kennedy assassination, and was selected to be one of only a few girls to type the Top Secret F.B.I. report to the Warren Commission. She also worked at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and the Kennedy Space Center during the Apollo program and more recently for the Brevard County Road and Bridge Department. In spite of her interesting jobs, she considered her greatest accomplishment in life and calling from God to be the 22 years she spent as a full-time mother and homemaker. Survivors include her daughter, Luanne (Mike) Feldt; son, Lee Towers; grandsons, Benjamin and Joshua Feldt; sisters, Pat (Billy) Winner and Mary (Jay) Wallingford; and many extended family and friends. A memorial service and celebration of Ginnys eternal life will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, October 19th, at the Rockledge Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Donald Smith officiating. The service will be followed by a reception and visitation with the family in the church felowship hall. Burial will be in Cartersville, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice and/or to the Rockledge Church of the Nazarene Building Fund. |
