HEAD, HAROLD (HAL) ASHLEY,
He attended Clemson University studying mechanical engineering. As a professional mechanical engineer, he worked for Brown Engineering on the Gemini and the Apollo programs at Cape Kennedy. After leaving the Cape, he started his own engineering business, Hal Head and Associates. He was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church, Sanford, FL, serving in many positions including Lay Leader, Men's Club President and Sunday School teacher. He was also a member the Kiwanis Club and the Elks Lodge. Survivors: Two daughters Lois Tague and Barbara Swaggerty, one son Thomas Head, one grandson Nick Coben, one great granddaughter Valerie Coben, one great grandson Jadon Coben, his sister's (Margaret Puckett) children and family. Services will be held 10AM at Carey Hand Cox-Parker, Winter Park, FL, on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009. Internment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Apopka, FL.
