![]() Philip F. LaGana Merritt Island Philip F. LaGana, 79, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Wuesthoff Progressive Care Center. He was a US Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict on the Coral Sea. He was employed by RCA, G.E. and for Computer Science Raytheon as an electronic engineer on both the Vandy and the RedStone. He was a beloved husband and father. He moved to this area when it was known as The Merritt Island Launch Area. He was also a member of the American Legion and the NRA. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Deborah K. LaGana; daughters, Michele Ozmar and Sharon Thompson; brother, Richard LaGana; niece, Denise LaGana; nephew, Mark LaGana; granddaughters, Lacy Allen and Sierra Thompson; grandsons, Hunter and Ethan Thompson; step grandson, Jody Allen; great nephew, Kolby LaGana; great niece, Brook Waters; great grandniece, Sidney LaGana; and great grand nephew, Graham LaGana. He was predeceased by his parents, Philip and Anne Tarcinal LaGana. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Calvary Chapel of Merritt Island, Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice, Sunflower House at Merritt Square or to Nurse World.
