Wade C. McCrary, Jr., Cocoa

M/SGT. Wade C. McCrary,Jr., US Air Force, retired, 89, went to Heaven on Sunday, March 29, 2009. He was born on April 8, 1919 in Memphis, Tennessee and raised in Byhalia, Mississippi.

He was a World War II disabled veteran, was a B-52 bomber jet engine mechanic and traveled the world. Prior to retirement he worked on the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo Pro grams and retired at the age of 65. There was nothing he could not make or repair.

He was a dedicated family man. Mr. McCrary is survived by his children, Wade C. McCrary III, Alan T. McCrary and Charlotte A. McCrary; five grand, four great-grand and one great- great-grandchild. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice.
