Raymond Soucy Sebastian

Raymond O. Soucy, 83, passed to his reward Tuesday, March 17, 2009 in Sebastian, FL. He was born in Hyannis, Massachusetts January 2, 1926.

He graduated first in his class from Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He moved to Florida during his career as a Merchant Marine and later operated Soucy-St. George and Company in Tampa and Jacksonville.

He worked in Missile Recovery at Cape Canaveral and was a retired Sea Captain.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Eunice of 60 years; three children, Peter of Sebastian, Richard of Melbourne Beach and Gail of Gainesville; one brother, Paul (Mary) Soucy; three sisters, Joan Newton, Carol (Oscar) Drinkwater and Alice Peters; and four grandchildren, Raymond, Malorey, Heather and Bradley.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 20th, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sebastian. Burial will follow at Fountainhead Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, at Fountainhead Memorial Funeral Home.
