Samuel Walker, Sr. -Trussville, AL

Samuel Thomas Walker Sr., age 82, a retired Electronic Technician for Cape Canaveral Air Force Station passed away Friday May 1, 2009 at Trinity Hospital in Trussville, Alabama. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama and came to Brevard County in 1960 from Orlando.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Alabama and the Cocoa Council 6125. He was a Navy veteran and served in World War II and Korea.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Helen Walker; his children, Lynda Camomilli, Kevin Walker, John Walker, and Dottie Henry; step-children, John Hilmer III, Cheryl Hilmer-Gurley, Karen Padgett, June Hilmer; fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceeded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Walker and sons, Samuel Thomas Walker Jr., and Robert Walker.

Calling Hours will be held Friday May 8th, from 8 to 10 a.m., at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m., at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Cocoa. .
