![]() Barry Wysocki, Rockledge Barry Wysocki, a life long Democrat as well as a lifelong Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots fan, has passed away after a long and painful illness on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 in Wuesthoff Hospital. Barry was born in Western Massachusetts and loved classic bands like The Rolling Stones and of course, a Massachusetts original, Aerosmith. While a younger man, he acted as a bouncer for a local club in Western Mass and got to know the late Stevie Ray Vaughan as well as The Fabulous T-Birds including Stevie Rays brother, Jimmy. Barry proudly volunteered for service in the US Marine Corps and US Air Force Reserves. He was honourably discharged from both. Barry went onto a career of security, he worked for a long time in several positions for United Technologies, including Bosch Industries, Norden Systems, Sikorsky Aircraft and finally to USBI at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Due to program cutbacks over the years, Barry then went to work at the Brevard Correctional Institute until he retired. Barry leaves behind a daughter, N. Elizabeth; four brothers, Francis, Donald, Kenneth and Brian Todd; a sister, Allison Sacco; and his mother, Marion Wysocki of Western Massachusetts. Funeral services were held in Massachusetts. To remember Barry, the family asks that, instead of flowers, that you offer a stranger a smile, a gentle word and continue to pass it on for as long and as often as you remember him. |
