![]() Floyd Roger Kendrick, Titusville Roger Kendrick passed away peacefully, at home, Thursday, October 22, 2009. Roger was born July 20, 1939. He was the second youngest of 13 children born to Benjamin Austin Kendrick & Ada Bell Kendrick of Birmingham, AL. Early in his aerospace career he worked for the Hayes Aircraft Company in Birmingham, AL. Later moving to Titusville, with his wife, to work for the Bendix Corporation in 1966. Throughout his life, Roger was a dedicated advocate of organized labor. He served the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM & AW) as a loyal member for 34 years. He retired from the IAM & AW after serving for 23 years as a Business Representative for District Lodge 166 in Cape Canaveral. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Jo Ellen Kendrick, his children Reena Smith (Gary), Benjamin Kendrick (Lucia), and Charles Kendrick, as well as his three beloved grandchildren Stacey Evans, Meagan Kendrick, and Heather Smith. He was preceded in death by his daughter Auna Denise Kendrick; father and mother, brothers, Lloyd and Harry Kendrick; sisters, Pat, Polly, Peggy, Louise, Mina, and Shirley. Calling Hours will be held on Sunday October 25, 2009 at Temple Baptist Church in Titusville from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 3;30 p.m. Floral arrangements may be coordinated through Flowers of Distinction in Titusville.
