MCCLELLAN, D. FRANK,

died July 24, 2009 at his home in Melbourne Beach.

Born in Monticello, Florida on December 24, 1941, he served over 8 years in the Air Force before taking a job with Bendix Field Engineering. He worked on all the Apollo and Soyuz projects as well as tracking deep space satellites at MILA.

After earning a Bachelor's degree from Rollins College, he began a 22 year career with the IRS retiring in 1997 as a Senior Field Officer. He and his wife, Jane, moved permanently to Melbourne Beach in 2002. Frank was passionate about football and NASCAR especially the Dolphins, Seminoles and any Chevy driver.

He is survived by his wife Jane, son Joseph, daughter Sonia, grandsons Shane and Sean. A memorial service will be held at the Community Chapel of Melbourne Beach, on August 15 at 3:00 pm.
