Joseph Lee McKnight - Knoxville, TN

- Joseph Lee McKnight, of Knoxville, TN, born May 30, 1927 in Sebring, FL, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2009. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Halls, Gideons International and was a longtime resident of Titusville, FL.

He was retired from Kennedy Space Center after 30 years of employment.

Predeceased by father and mother, Ralph and Inez McKnight; daughter, Inez McKnight, and grandson, Adam McKnight. Survived by his wife, Judy Wilson McKnight; children, Charles R. McKnight, Titusville; David McKnight, Knoxville, TN; Dennis Jennings, Springfield, MO; Randy Jennings, Decatur, AL, and David Jennings, Shreveport, LA; eight grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Harry McKnight, Merritt Island, FL, Roy McKnight; Ella Mae Hammett, Caroylea Bowers, and Ruth Noe, all of Knoxville.

The family expresses special thanks of appreciation to St. Mary's Hospice for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Baptist Church Building Fund, 7503 Bell Rd, Knoxville, TN 37938.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 15th, 5 - 7 p.m., followed by funeral service at 7 p.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, December 16th at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Piney Grove Cemetery, Jefferson City, TN for an interment service at 11:00 a.m. www.mynattfh.com
