William A. O'Hara, Titusville

William A. O'Hara, 82, passed away at his home in Titusville, FL on Sunday, October 11, 2009. He was born in Miami, FL on October 26, 1926. At a young age his family moved to Brooklyn, NY where he became an avid fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Bill graduated with a degree in English from Rider University and joined the Army during World War II, serving under MacArthur in the Philippines. After the war, Bills interest lay in retail and he became a VP in W.T. Grant stores.

In 1984, he and his family settled in Titusville. He furthered his retail experience at Kennedy Space Center and later managed the Best Western in Titusville.

Bill was well liked and respected by many people because of his generosity, honesty, and integrity.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Marie of 35 years; his daughters, Linda Ohlin, Claudine Crofoot, Heidi King, and Holly Seldal; his son, Colin OHara; his son-in-laws, Woody Ohlin and Mark Crofoot; his grandchildren, Leslie MacLean, Iain MacLean, Kristie Lopez, Michelle Crofoot, Michael Crofoot, Jessie Seldal, Casey Seldal, Jason OHara and Brooks OHara, and his great-grandchildren, Mia, Madison, Zoe, Piper, Iain II, and Liam.

He will be forever remembered in our hearts with many memories. You can shed tears that he is gone, Or you can smile because he lived, You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back, Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see him Or you can be full of the love that you shared, You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him and only that he is gone Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on....
