John L. Bossart - Rockledge

John "Jack" L. Bossart, 82, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2010 at Wuesthoff Hospital, Rockledge, FL, after a long battle with C.O.P.D. Jack was born in Los Angeles, CA on December 27, 1927.

Jack served in the U.S. Merchant Marines and the U.S. Army-Air Force. He was a Korean War veteran. Jack retired in 1989 after 35 years in the aerospace industry, where he was an electrical technician. He spent most of his career at Kennedy Space Center, FL, working on the Apollo and GPS programs.

Jack is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Bossart; daughter, Jerri Dunn (Ron Higgins); sons, Denton Mulenex and John L. (Patty) Bossart, Jr.; eight grandchildren (Rory Dunn, Jennifer Dunn, Denise (Allen) Smith, Denita Mulenex, Katrina (Richard) Mason, Jessica Bossart, Krista Bossart, and Sierra Bossart); two great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanne (Hank) Bottoms, March AFB, CA, and a large extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Mr. Bossart's life will take place on Sunday, January 17th, 1 - 3 p.m. at 981 Bayberry Lane, Rockledge. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory to Wuesthoff Hospice, or to a charity of your choice. <
