![]() Kenneth Jackson, Titusville Kenneth Joseph Jackson, 85, died Sunday January 17, 2010 at his home. He was born in Buffalo, NY. He graduated from St Joes Collegiate Institute and Canisius College in Buffalo, and from the University of Detroit with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in both World War II and Korea. Kenneth was among the space programs pioneers and long-term participants, starting with Bell Aircraft in White Sands, NM in 1954, then working for Lockheed on the Polaris- Poseidon program, and finishing his career with the Space Shuttle program until his retirement in 1990. He is survived by his son, Daniel Jackson of London, England and his sister, Mary Jackson of Titusville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Jackson. Calling hours will be held from 5 - 7 p.m. Thursday, January 21st at North Brevard Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, January 22nd at St. Teresa Catholic Church, to which he belonged. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
