Jr. MIMS Albert (Al) James Johnsen, Jr., 77, born November 11, 1926 in Queens, New York, lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, July 22, 2004. Al was a 25 year resident of Mims, after relocating from New Jersey. During World War II, Mr. Johnsen was a Paratrooper with the 11th Airborne Division of the U.S. Army, and served in the Pacific Theater. After an honor able discharge, he then went in to the U.S. Navy. Al became a Teamster in Local #707 of New York and Local #560 in New Jersey. After his retirement he was a guard at Parrish Memorial Hospital later to become a Protocol driver at Kennedy Space Center for the General Services Administration. Albert in his retirement enjoyed time with his grandchil dren, traveling, cruising and sight seeing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Eleanor Johnsen and a son, Joseph. Albert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Anne (Fitzpatrick) Johnsen; sons, Edward (Andrea) Johnsen, Albert Johnsen III, Peter (Laura) Johnsen, and Jason Johnsen; daughters, Regina (Frank) Holley, Marie (Keith) Rogalski, and Meaghan Johnsen. He is also survived by his grandchil dren, Elizabeth, James, Audrey, Kate, Hayley, Emily, Zachery, Ian, Ellen and Alessandra and a great-granddaughter, Hannah. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday (TONIGHT) at North Brevard Funeral Home, Titusville, with visitation Saturday, from 3 p.m. until time of service.
