ALBERT MCKINNEY MELBOURNE -- "Mac'' Albert Leon McKinney, 57, a retired Air Force tech sergeant, died Wednesday, May 10, at home.

Mr. McKinney was born in Holcomb, Miss. He came to Brevard County in 1980 from Shaw Air Force Base, S.C.

He was Baptist. Mr. McKinney retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service.

He received the Army Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award ribbon with four Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with one Oak Leaf Cluster and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters.

After retiring from the military, Mr. McKinney worked in logistics at Patrick Air Force Base for Pan American, Raetheon and the 45th Services Group.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Aline McKinney of Melbourne; sons, John McKinney of Fayetteville, N.C., Steven McKinney of Palm Bay and Timothy McKinney of Melbourne; sister, Linda Buice of Sardis, Miss.; and four grandchildren.

No local calling hours are scheduled. Graveside services, with military honors, will be Monday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Davis Funeral Home in Melbourne is in charge of arrangements.
