VANOVER MELBOURNE Andrew Vanover, age 85, of Melbourne, Fla., died Saturday August 7, 2004, at home. Mr. Vanover retired from the Air Force and later retired after working for FLORIDA TODAY as Assistant Circulation Director. He was a highly decorated war veteran and former prisoner of war who came to Brevard after World War II to work with the Air Forces research of cap tured German V2 rockets. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Ann ; sons, Andy of Orlando Fla., Michael of Palm Bay, Fla., and Patrick of Georgetown, Texas; daughters, Brenda of Houston, Texas, Suzanne of Sacramento Calif., Pamela of Melbourne, Fla., and Yvonne of Las Vegas, Nev.; nieces, Shirley and Mary, both of Port St. John, Fla. ; 12 grand children; and six great-grand children. Sevices will be held Wednes day, August 11, 2004 at Florida Memorial Gardens at 9 a.m. Burial will follow immediately afterward. |
