ARTIE HENRIKSEN COCOA BEACH Artie (Odvar) Henriksen, 79, loving husband, father and grandfather, returned to our Lord on Saturday, September 11, 2004. Artie was born in Brooklyn, New York to Marion and Mavis Henriksen. A graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology he served our country in the United States Navy. He was a space program pioneer beginning in 1959 for Aerospace until his retirement in 1991. He lived in Cocoa Beach with his loving wife, Kay, of 51 years and his beloved children Patricia, Steven, Doris and Paul. He leaves in love his nine grandchildren, Joseph, Carey, Ashley, Jennifer, Stephine, Megan, Carl, Peter Jr. and Katie. His heart held close his childrens spouses, Mac, Sharon, Peter, Jackie and Donny. Never to forget, Dan Downer, his closest friend, and his loving brother, Al. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., on Wednesday, Sep tember 15, 2004 at Beckman- Williamson Funeral Home, 101 N. Brevard Ave., Cocoa Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 16, 2004 at Church of Our Saviour Catholic Church in Cocoa Beach.
