 BERNARD SABINSMERRITT ISLAND Bernard (Bud) Sabins, 73, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2004. Bud was born in Lynn, Mass. Bud was a loving husband, a devoted father and the best grandfather ever. In 1963, he moved his family to Florida to work for NASA as an Electrical Engineer until his retirement in 1988. In Florida Bud enjoyed boat ing, fishing and camping. He was an avid NASCAR fan who camped in the infield of the Daytona 500 for nearly 30 consecutive years. He was a nine year veteran of the Navy. He belonged to the Elks Club of Merritt Island and the Moose club of Astor, and was Former President of the Unitarian Fellowship of Cocoa. Bud will be missed by his surviving family, which includes his wife, Jeanne; sons, Walter and wife, Lynda, Glen and wife, Tammy; daughter, Colleen and husband, Jimmie; and their mother, Marion; stepsons, Bill and wife, Linda and Mark; step daughter, Connie; his brother, Don and wife, Inez; grandson, Dusti; granddaughters, Brooke and husband, Jayson, Jessica and husband, Justin; step- grandsons, Jason and Josh; and step-granddaughters, Melissa and Monica. Memorial services will be held at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Elks Childrens Therapy Services, 633 Umatilla Blvd., Umatilla, FL. |
