LOMAQUAHU MERRITT ISLAND -- Cedric "Chief" Lomaquahu, 45, died Saturday, September 9, 2000, in Merritt Island. He came to Brevard County in 1983 from Brigham City, Utah, where he was born. Mr. Lomaquahu worked for Morton Thiokol at Kennedy Space Center as a Aerospace Technician. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #4257. Cedric was reared and educated in Brigham City. He graduated from Box Elder High School and attended the University of Utah. Cedric married his high school sweetheart, Cynthia Mitchell in 1975, and was later divorced. He enjoyed swimming, camping, and loved animals. He also loved to go to the beach and was an avid gardener. He was a natural artist having been honored to design murals at Cape Kennedy. Cedric was a perfectionist through all facets of his life including career, home, and family. His family expresses gratitude for all those who had touched his life. Until we meet again. Survivors include his children, son, Sean of Merritt Island, Fla, daughter, Sharisse of Orlando, Fla., parents, John and Caroline Lomaquahu of Brigham City, Utah; one sister, Elana Bryan of Brigham City, Utah; two brothers, Emerson of Denver, CO. and Stanley of Brigham City, Utah; and his dear companion, Debra Peach of Rockledge, Fla. He was preceded in death by his sister, Stephonia Lomaquahu. There are no calling hours. Services will be held on Saturday, September 16, at 7:00 p.m. at Florida Memorial Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Leukemia Foundation in his memory. Florida Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. |
