BURNSIDE TITUSVILLE -- Claire M. Nolan Burnside, 78, a retired executive secretary, died Monday, December 4, 2000, at Parrish Medical Center in Titusville. Mrs. Burnside was born in Worcester, Mass. She came to Brevard County over 30 years ago after traveling the world. She worked for NASA at KSC for over 20 years. Mrs. Burnside was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Titusville, St. Teresa Catholic Womens Club, Professional Womens Club, American Legion Post 1 inTitusville, Romance Writers Club, the Titusville Art League, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, AARP, and a volunteer at Parrish Medical Center.
She was a Navy veteran of World War II; served in the U. S. Coast Guard
and U.S. Navy doing intelligence work. Survivors include her son, Adam
Burnside of Titusville; grandsons, Jayson Scoville, Zakery Leo Burnside
and Neil D. Burnside, all of Titusville and Joshua Hawke Burnside of
Montana; granddaughter, Rachel Muller of Ellenwood, Kan.; and
great-grandsons, Jacob Neil Scoville and Jarrod Hunter Scoville, both of
Titusville. Calling hours will be Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. at North Brevard
Funeral Home. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Teresa
Catholic Church. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. North Brevard
Funeral Home in Titusville is in charge of arrangements.
