DENNINGHOFF MERRITT ISLAND Mr. George W. Denninghoff, Sr., 82, of Merritt Island, died Tuesday, August 3, 2004, in Ozark, Ala, at the home of his daughter following an extended illness. Mr. Denninghoff was born in Little Falls, Minnesota on May 2, 1922. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Following the war, Mr. Denninghoff served in the United States Air Force Reserve and was commis sioned as 2nd Lieutenant. After graduating from Wichita State University, he was employed in the aerospace industry with Boeing, Martin, and Chrysler Corporations. He and his family moved to the Space Coast in 1960, where he was involved with the Titan and Gemini programs, among others. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Denninghoff, Merritt Island, three daughters, Nancy Harewood and her husband, Dorian, Pasadena, Calif., Karin Prince and her husband, Mac, Ozark, Ala., Heidi Critchfield and her hus band, Carl, Mims, six sons, Chris Curry and his wife, Paula, Cocoa, George W. Denninghoff, Jr. and his wife, Stephanie, Poquoson, Va., Karl Denning hoff and his wife, Lorraine, Bothell, Wash., John Denning hoff and his wife, Lesa, Cocoa, Kurt Denninghoff and his wife, Amy, Birmingham, Ala., Scott Denninghoff and his wife, Julie, Bothell, Wash., one brother, Dr. James Denninghoff, Columbia, Mo., 32 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 6:00 P. M. (EST) Sunday, August 8, 2004, in The Cocoa Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rockledge, Florida. Interment will be 11:00 A. M. Monday with full Military Honors, in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at The Cocoa Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rockledge, Florida from 5:00 P. M. until 6:00 P. M. Sunday, August 8, 2004.
