DONALD HOUSMAN WEST MELBOURNE -- Donald F. Housman, a retired Army first sergeant, 73, died Wednesday, June 21, at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne.

Mr. Housman was born in Lexington, Ohio. He came to Brevard County in 1965 from Germany.

He retired from the Army after 20 years of service.

Mr. Housman then worked at Kennedy Space Center for 25 years.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Legion of Honor of Azan Temple.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Hiroko Housman of West Melbourne; daughters, Peggy Housman of Charlotte, N.C., and Misty Shepherd of Orlando; sons, Ronald Housman of West Melbourne, Gary Housman and Mark Housman, both of Palm Bay; three sisters; three brothers; and four grandchildren.

No calling hours are scheduled. Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church of Melbourne. Fountainhead Memorial Funeral Home in Palm Bay is in charge of arrangements.

The family requests no flowers. Donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 12502 N. Pine Drive, Tampa, FL 33612-9499.
