MELBOURNE -- Dorothy E. New, 76, a retired administrative assistant for
Grumman Corp., died Wednesday, May 3, at home.
Mrs. New was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. She came to Brevard County in 1986 from Alpharetta, Ga. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Melbourne. Survivors include her husband, John New of Melbourne; daughters, Nancy Jeffers of Winder, Ga., Lorraine Phillips of Duluth, Ga., and Jeanne Brown of Lawrenceville, Ga.; brothers, Robert Barton of Garden City, N.Y., and Arthur Barton of Hawley, Pa.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. No local calling hours or services are scheduled. Burial will be in East Hanover, N.J. Fountainhead Memorial Funeral Home in Palm Bay is in charge of arrangements. |
