ABDULLAH COCOA BEACH -- Edward G. Abdullah, 68, a retired engineering
manager, died Friday, May 26, at Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach.
Mr. Abdullah was born in Jacksonville. He came to Brevard County in 1960 from Maine. He was a Navy veteran. A 33-year employee of the Boeing Co. in Cape Canaveral, he was involved in many projects within the aerospace industry. Some of these projects included the Bomark, Minuteman, Lunar Orbiter, Apollo, SkyLab, B-1 Bomber and the International Space Station. Mr. Abdullah was a member of the Elks Lodge in Cocoa and Riverside Presbyterian Church in Cocoa Beach. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Elizabeth Abdullah of Cocoa Beach; son, Gary Abdullah of Augusta, Mo.; daughter, Lisa Hassan of Cocoa; sister, Miriam Snyder of Jacksonville; and two grandchildren. No calling hours are scheduled. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Riverside Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Florida Memorial Gardens. Florida Memorial Funeral Home, north of Melbourne, is in charge of arrangements. The family requests no flowers.
