Frank T. Ted Edson, 80, passed away at the Wuesthoff Hospice Care Center on Sat urday, March 13, 2004. Ted was born in East Orange, N.J., and grew up in Baton Rouge, La. He received degrees from both LSU and Tulane University in medicine and architecture, respectively, and served as an officer in the U.S. Army in World War II. In 1962, Ted left his success ful architectural practice of 10 years in Pensacola, Fla., for the excitement of the space pro gram where his expertise as an architectural engineer was applied to countless projects un til his retirement in 1997. Ted loved good music, boat ing, and laughing with friends and family. His humor and spirit brightened so many lives. Above all, he was a gentleman. Ted is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carole C. Edson; his son, Mark Edson; his daughter- in-law, Lynn Edson; and grand children, Kendall and Kristen. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 19, 2004 at 4 p.m., at Grace United Method ist Church, where Ted was a member for many years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice House, c/o Wuesthoff Health Systems Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 565002, Rockledge, FL 32956-5002 or to Grace United Methodist Church, 65 Needle Blvd., Merritt Island, FL 32953. Arrangements entrusted to East Coast Cremation, 632-1350.
