WANDER INDIALANTIC Garrett Wander, 87, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2004, surrounded by the comfort of his family.
Gary was born in Ohio and graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Ohio State University. After proudly serving in World War II, he worked as a civilian engineer at Wright Patterson AFB in Datyon, Ohio until he was transferred with his family to Patrick AFB in 1958. He worked as a quality assurance engineer with the rocket missile program until he retired as a Lt. Colonel from the Air Force Reserves in 1977. As a member of the First Methodist Church, Gary sang with the church choir for many years. He held several offices in the Mens Republican Club and was active in the Brevard Republican Party with his wife, Irene. Gary is survived by his daughters, Sue Fulmer-Walker, Joan Bahm and Terry Weemhoff; sons-in-law, Denny Bahm, JY Walker, and James Weemhoff; grandsons, Charles, Tim and Milton Fulmer and their families, including six great- grandchildren. There will be a private memorial service for the family in Ohio. Donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association (research only), 919 N.
