GEORGE MATTHEWS COCOA BEACH - George David Matthews, 66, an electrical engineer for NASA, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Cape Canaveral Hospital.

Mr. Matthews was born in Long Island, N.Y. He came to Brevard County 43 years ago from Miami.

Survivors include his wife, Ida Matthews of Cocoa Beach and sons, Kirk Matthews of Merritt Island and Philip Matthews of Kissimmee.

No calling hours are scheduled. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach.
