SCHMITZ
MERRITT ISLAND -- Jerry, our friend, father and loved one, passed away on
Saturday, January 27, 2001. Born in Missoula, Mont., and a 35 year resident
ofMerritt Island, Jerry was an Air Force veteran and a proud graduate of
the University of Central Florida. He loved his job at Cape Canaveral Air
Force Station, where he worked on the Atlas Rocket for General
Dynamics/Lockheed Martin. We who will mourn his absence from our lives
include his daughters, Dena Harrell, Jolene Yost and Kyla Palmiter;
grandchildren, Daniel, Rachel, and Jarrod; sons-in-law, Steve Harrell, Jim
Yost and Terry Palmiter; former wife, Jean Snyder; 13 brothers and sisters;
and his families in Colorado, Montana, California and at complex 36. A
Memorial Mass will beoffered Friday, February 2nd,at 7 p.m. at Divine
MercyCatholic Church on MerrittIsland. In lieu of flowers, donations may
be made in his name to your favorite charity. Dad loved his family, his
friends, Sunday rides, the Gator football team, the mountains, company
picnics, Christmas lights, toy runs, and our country. When we enjoy these
things we will feel him in our hearts. Wylie-Baxley Merritt Island Funeral
