BAIN TITUSVILLE Glenn L. Bain, 82, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 28, 2004, at Parrish Medical Center. He was born November 28, 1921 in Benton, Tenn., and moved to Titusville in 1956 to work with Pan Am at the Space Center. Since retiring, Mr. and Mrs. Bain spent their summers at his childhood home in Blue Ridge, Ga.
Glenn enjoyed the Bible, vege table gardening and his family. He was a vet eran of World War II, serving with the 1st Marine Division at Guadal canal and other islands in the Pacific. While in the service, Glenn met his wife, Stella, in New Zealand, and they were married there in 1943. Glenn was preceded in death by his daughter, Nelda Bain; his mother, Leoma Campbell Bain; father, Lloyd C. Bain; and brothers, L.C. and George Bain. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Stella Bain of Titus ville; three sons, Neville Bain of Alabama, Howard Bain of DeBary, and Melvyn Bain of Titusville; grandchildren, Ashley Bain, Bobbi Boveda, Robbi and Misti Bain, and Marina Bain; and one great- grandchild, Julia Bain. Glenns family is thankful for the care and support of the nursing staff at Jess Parrish Hospital, the Hospice of St. Francis, and all the friends and family that made the last weeks a blessing for all. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 4th, at Park Avenue Baptist Church in Titusville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of St. Francis, P.O. Box 5563, Titusville, FL 32783. North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville is in charge of arrangements. |
