CROOKS MERRITT ISLAND Harold W. Crooks, 80, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2004 at Island Health and Rehabilita tion Center. Mr. Crooks has lived in Brevard county since 1984, and was a member of St. Lukes Episcopal Church, and retired as an air conditioning mechanic at Kennedy Space Center. Mr. Crooks served in the Royal Air Force, and flew during WW II, was a member of Valiant Air Command, Bomber Com manders Association in England, and was awarded the British Distinguished Flying Cross. His survivors include his daughter, Carol Barbar of Merritt Island; two granddaugh ters; and his sister, Marjorie Annabelle of Reading, Pa. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, March 11th, at St. Lukes Epis copal Church, 5555 N. Tropical Trail, Merritt Island. Wylie-Baxley Merritt Island Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. |
