HAROLD WALFORD
MERRITT ISLAND -- Harold L. Walford, 84, a retired civil service employee, passed away Monday, September 22, 2003, at home. Mr. Walford was born in Randolph, Mass. He came to Brevard County in 1964 from North Miami Beach, Fla. He worked at Patrick AFB as an Experimental Machinist, and worked for the early Space Program. Mr. Walford was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lona Walford of Merritt Island; sons, Daniel Walford of Lake City, Scott Walford of Deland and Jeffrey Walford of Rockledge; daughter, Glenda Jane Oxendine of Merritt Island; sister, Barbara Davey of Avon, Mass.; and five grandchildren. Calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday,September 25th, with services following at 11 a.m., at Divine Mercy Catholic Church on Merritt Island, Burial will follow in Brevard Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made toVITAS Hospice, 5151 Adanson Street, Suite 200,Orlando, FL 32804. Brevard Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted witharrangements.
