HERTEL ORLANDO Helmut Richard (Dick) Hertel, 95, a retired motion picture film editor, died Friday, November 26, 2004. Born in Plauem, Germany, he came to the United States with his parents in 1916. He moved to Florida in 1964 to work at the Kennedy Space Center. He retired in 1977.  A Mason, he was a member of Merritt Island Lodge #353. A World War II Navy veteran, he served as a Navy Photogra pher assigned to the Office of Strategic Services. He was a Lutheran, and a member of Downtown Baptist Sunday School in Orlando. He is survived by his brother, Harold Hertel of Safety Harbor, Fla., and a sister, Elsie Arduni of Whitehouse Station, N.J. Services will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, December 2nd, at Florida Memorial Funeral Home, with entomb ment following at Florida Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to VITAS Hospice, 4450 W. Eau Gallie Blvd., Suite 280, Melbourne, FL 32934. Florida Memorial Funeral Home in Rockledge is in charge of arrangements. |
