SATELLITE BEACH - Henry A. Winter, 82, a retired engineer, died Wednesday,
Aug. 9, at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne.
Mr. Winter came to Brevard County in 1956 from Nyack, N.Y. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and participated in the development of radar. Mr. Winter was a physics teacher in Jacksonville. He was a graduate of Michigan Tech. He was a retired engineer and a range safety officer for the Eastern Test Range. He enjoyed working with model railroads and reading. Mr. Winter was a member of the Toastmasters and Lions Club in Melbourne. Survivors include his daughters, Elizabeth Winter and Ginger Winter, both of Satellite Beach; sons, Terry Winter of Melbourne, Kent Winter of Satellite Beach, Gary Winter of Longwood and Greg Winter of Palm Bay; sister, Gertrude Cooksey of Tallahassee; and four grandchildren.
