GROSS MELBOURNE -- Jack Gross, 71, died Thursday, January 25, 2001. Mr. Gross was born in Philadelphia, Pa. He came to Brevard County in 1981 from Sunrise, Fla. He was a retired Master Sgt. and 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and Senior Technical Editor for Rockwell International on the Orbiter Program. Mr. Gross was Jewish. He was formerly "Professor Trivia'' for WMMB radio, and a volunteer umpire for area baseball and softball games. He was also a member of Mensa. Survivors include his wife, Diane Gross of Melbourne; sons, Benjamin of Port Orange and Marc of Melbourne; daughters, Harriet Westphal of Red Wing, Min.., MichelleFelton of Winter Park, and Libi Bates of Lake Mary; sister,Lenore Jacobs of Lakehurst, N.J.; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 30th, at Brownlie-MaxwellFuneral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. |
