Died: May 24, 2000

James T. Bayruns, recently re-tired from Northrup Grumman, died Wednesday, May 24, 2000 at home with his family in Cocoa Beach, Florida. He peacefully moved on after an aggressivebattle with cancer over the last several months. Mr. Bayruns came to Brevard County from Manhattan where he worked for Grumman. Having been transferred south, he relo-cated his family to Cocoa Beach years ago. He graduated as President of his Fraternity from Susquehanna University where he met his wife, Joan Heslop. He went on to re-ceive his Masters Degree from St. Johns University. Mr. Bayruns was an incredible writer of beau-tiful poetry that he shared with his family and loved ones. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed his weekends with his son at various places on the river. Many Cocoa Beach resi-dents remember seeing him and his wife running four miles faith-fully every day. Survivors include his wife, Joan Heslop; daughter, MelissaBayruns and her husband, Randy Caballero of Orlando, Florida; son, Robert Bayruns and his wife, Lisa of Satellite Beach, Flor-ida who are expecting his first grandchild in December. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, May 27th at 11:00am at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Satellite Beach. Donations may be made to AngelFlight, 800-342-4256.
