PALEY INDIALANTIC -- James J. "Jim'' Paley, 77, died quietly at home on Thursday, November 16, 2000, with his wife at his side. Jim
was born in Rensselaer, New York. He was an Eagle Scout and was a World
War II Veteran of the Army Air Corps. He graduated from Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute and pursued a career as an engineer and computer
consultant, working for such organizations as General Electric and the New
York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. After raising his family
in Albany, New York, Jim and his wife, Evelyn, moved to Indialantic in 1978.
He continued his career at Computer Sciences Corporation and Lockheed at
Kennedy Space Center and Harris Corporation, where he retired. Mr. Paley is
survived by his wife of 53 years, Evelyn Paley of Indialantic; son, James
J. Paley Jr., of Duanesburg, N.Y.; daughter, Patricia Whitlock, of
Indialantic; and two grandchildren, Alicia Whitlock Capen, and J. Collin
Whitlock. Calling hours will be held on Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. to
7:00 p.m., at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home, with a memorial service at
6:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady
of Lourdes Church in Melbourne. In lieu of flowers, the family requests
that donations be sent to your local Hospice or the American Cancer
Society. Arrangements are being handled by Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home.
